Copenhagen and Unibet sign deal

Copenhagen and Unibet sign deal

FC Copenhagen can today announce that the club has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with gaming operator Unibet. As part of the agreement, PARKEN’s B-stand will be named the Unibet grandstand from the start of the spring season.

The deal will see an increase in the entertainment and media FCK fans can expect to find on match days. Lions CEO Anders Hørsholt was on hand to speak to FCK.DK about the new agreement:

- As the gaming market in Denmark has now been partially liberalised, Danish football has become a focus for foreign gaming providers. By virtue of our position as the best football team in Scandinavia and a regular participant in European competition, we are an attractive partner. We have negotiated with a variety of betting providers, but Unibet has proved to be the single most interesting partner.

- It is with great pleasure that today we can present this historic sponsorship. Besides finances, Unibet have shown a particular interest and commitment in creating a relationship with FC Copenhagen's many fans both during and between match days. We see this as a progression, and we are confident that this sponsorship will be of great benefit to Unibet, FC Copenhagen and the fans.

Discussing the new agreement, Unibet Denmark director, Kim Olesen, stated:

- It has always been our goal to create sponsorship relations with FC Copenhagen. The level of ambition at the club matches the thoughts we have about our own position in the Danish betting market.

- Unibet will be Denmark’s favourite betting provider, and we see sponsorship of FC Copenhagen as a natural step on this road. We are convinced that the loyal fans of FC Copenhagen will benefit from our initiatives in this regard.
