Captain Delaney rescues point for FCK again

Thomas Delaney scored his second goal in five games to again earn FC Copenhagen a 1-1 draw, this time at Viborg.

Midfielder Delaney headed home one minute from time after Jonas Kamper had given the hosts a first-half lead.

Lions goalkeeper Robin Olsen saved Jeppe Curth’s penalty just before the hour mark to keep Copenhagen in the game.

Delaney came up with the leveller with a header at the back post after Ludwig Augustinsson, Benjamin Verbic and Federico Santander all missed earlier opportunities.

And Viborg’s George Fochive was sent off for a second yellow card in injury time as FCK sought a winner.

Next up for FCK is a home clash with FC MIdtjylland on Sunday before the DBU Cup final against AGF the following Thursday.
