Junnosuke Suzuki: 'I'm even more motivated' after F.C. Copenhagen debut
F.C. Copenhagen's debutant Junnosuke Suzuki says he's more motivated than ever to help the club after making a fine start to his Lions career in a three-man defence during Wednesday's Danish Cup win over Lyngby Boldklub.
Suzuki, 22, played the whole game alongside Pantelis Hatzidiakos and Gabriel Pereira, having recovered from an injury sustained in the summer.
The new recruit said afterwards: "I was a little nervous before the match, but I am happy and proud to have helped the team to victory.
"I'm just happy to be fit again and get some playing time. We put in a great effort today. We were compact, and the communication in the back line worked surprisingly well.

Since his arrival in Copenhagen, Suzuki has worked hard to recover from injury and, according to head coach Jacob Neestrup, he has recently looked strong on the training pitch.
Reflecting on his time on the pitch, Suzuki added: "I'm happy to play at a big club with a great history, and I'm even more motivated now to contribute and play more games."
Meanwhile, club captain Viktor Claesson was also pleased with what he saw from Wednesday's debutant.
"He was strong today," said the Swede. "One of the best on the pitch – if not the best. It was a great debut from Suzuki. He also did well in the training match during the international break, and now he just has to build on that."
