FCK triumph at Fredericia

F.C. Copenhagen maintained the 100% start to the new season with a 2-0 win at Fredericia on Friday, as attention swiftly turns to UEFA Champions League qualifying this coming week.

Elias Achouri forced home a well-worked free-kick routine on 34 minutes, before Jordan Larsson and Magnus Mattsson combined for a stunning second midway through the second half.

"I think it was a perfect away game considering that we're in a tight schedule with games every three or four days, and we deservedly won," said head coach Jacob Neestrup after the match.

"The only regret was that (Youssoufa) Moukoko came off with an injury, but at first glance it only looks like a minor injury.

"But it was a well-executed game, where they only became dangerous in a few moments, where they ran out of our high pressure too easily."

The win was FCK's fifth on the bounce to kick off the 2025/26 season and Neestrup was pleased to see more positives come from the performance as well as the result.

"The game was better than against Vejle," he said. "I think we managed to stay sharp for large parts of the game and constantly pushed for goals, and we also had chances for a third. So a good performance, and it was important that we could again rotate to save a few minutes for several of the players.

"We are on a really good run of victories, but it's still about taking one game at a time and always showing respect for the opponent, no matter who we face."
