F.C. København sell Amin Chiakha to Rosenborg BK
Amin Chiakha will continue his career in Norway after an agreement between F.C. Copenhagen and Rosenborg BK over a permanent transfer.
Chiakha has played for Rosenborg BK on a loan deal since January, and now the club has chosen to exercise their purchase option on the striker.
With 10 goals in 18 matches in the Eliteserien, Chiakha has made a great impression in the Norwegian top flight in a short time, and that is why he is now saying goodbye to F.C. Copenhagen, whim he joined as a youngster.
The 20-year-old striker started at FCK Talent as a 12-year-old and made a special mark along the way by, among other things, being the joint top scorer in the 2023/24 UEFA Youth league, while he also became top scorer in the U19 league in the same season.
Chiakha was promoted to the first team squad in July 2024 and has taken a very big step in his senior career with the move to Rosenborg BK.
"Amin is a talented striker who has done really well in Norway and has seized his opportunity in a short time," says Kristjaan Speakman.
"He has settled in well at Rosenborg, thrives in the environment and enjoys the challenge of being the club's primary striker. We accept his choice, because every player needs his own path, and maybe we will see him back in Copenhagen one day."
Amin: I will always be a F.C. Copenhagener
Chiakha played 27 games and scored seven goals for F.C. Copenhagen, and for the Copenhagen boy it is not necessarily easy to say goodbye to the club and the city.
"It was my ambition to return to Copenhagen and score goals in Parken, and I will always be an F.C. Copenhagener," says Chiakha.
“But I feel really good in Trondheim and at Lerkendal Stadion, where the fans have welcomed me, so I just have to seize this exciting opportunity and take the next step with Rosenborg.
"The time has come for the next chapter in my career, and I send many thoughts to everyone at Peter Bangs Vej, where I received my football education. I take a lot with me from Frederiksberg. Not only football, but also friends for life, many good memories and a great love for the club.”
Everyone at F.C. Copenhagen wishes Amin all the best for the future.
