2-0 victory over Sønderjyske in new red third kit

F.C. Copenhagen marked the debut of the club's new red third kit with a 2-0 win at Sønderjyske on Monday evening.

First-half goals from Felix Beijmo and Andreas Cornelius sent the Lions on the path to victory and maintain the pace on league leaders FC Midtjylland.

Beijmo opened the scoring on 20 minutes with a fine long-range strike, before Cornelius extended the lead with a neat control and finish off Mads Emil Madsen's cross.

Sønderjyske had opportunities to hit back in the second half and hit the crossbar from distance, but goalkeeper Diant Ramaj was rarely troubled.

The win means the Lions stay second in the Danish Superliga, two points off FCM as attention now turns to Thursday's UEFA Conference League game with FC Iberia 1999 in Parken (9pm). F.C. Copenhagen vs FC Iberia 1999 tickets are still on sale online.
