Thirteen-game unbeaten run ends at FCN

FC Copenhagen’s 13-game unbeaten run came to an end at FC Nordsjælland on Sunday.

The Lions had not lost since a 1-0 result at Brøndby last September but were downed by two second-half goals in Farum.

Emre Mor opened the scoring for the hosts when he bypassed three Lions tackles to side-foot past Robin Olsen on 55 minutes.

And Tobias Mikkelsen doubled the lead with a superb strike from the edge of the area late on.

Youssef Toutouh had FCK’s best chance cleared off the line from four yards out after Nicolai Jørgensen had kept alive a deep corner, while Thomas Delaney saw a close-range effort off his chest saved by FCN stopper David Jensen.

The defeat cuts FCK’s lead at the top of the Alka Superliga down to six points heading into the international break.

Next up for the Lions is a home clash with second-place SønderjyskE at Telia Parken on Sunday April 3.
