Jens Stage

Stage: Full focus on Lyngby

FC Copenhagen's Jens Stage played a key role in the 1-1 draw at Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday night but is already looking ahead to Friday's 3F Superliga clash with Lyngby.

"Of course we were pleased with the performance on the way home on the plane and talked a little about it at training today, but now only one thing is on our minds: a victory against Lyngby," Stage told FCK.dk.

Stage was the match winner in FCK's last league game at SønderjyskE on Saturday.

The win maintained the Lions' 100 per cent start to the new domestic season. And Stage wants another three points at home on Friday.

"We have got off to a perfect start in terms of results, even though we are very much a new squad," he added.

"I also think that we are constantly lifting our game and really creating a lot of chances. This is despite there being a little bit of rotation in the team and some of us just have to be completely in place in the way we play.

"That process is going well and we have a lot of talented players, and especially some experienced players like Zeca and N'Doye, who are really good at leading the way. It's a big help for us newcomers.

Looking forward to playing in Telia Park again
“I'm always looking forward to playing at home in Copenhagen, it's just a great experience! We have to go out and continue the good development that we are in and go for another victory.

"Lyngby showed teeth at the start of the season and have everything to win against us. That's why it takes full focus and concentration on our part to win the match.

"However, we also have a lot of faith in our own abilities, and if we work as we should and utilise the individual qualities we also have within the team, then we will surely win the match."
