Copenhagen sign new right back

SIF 1-0 FCK

by Joe Short

Head coach Ariel Jacobs handed goalkeeper Kim Christensen his first start of the year while Rurik Gislason earned a second successive place on the right wing. Claudemir began on the bench in place of Daniel Jensen as César Santin moved back up front with Andreas Cornelius.

Ragnar Sigurdsson had the game’s first major chance on 13 minutes but Lasse Heinze smothered from close range and Heinze was again there to meet the defender from a corner midway through the first half.

Into the second and Christensen did well to parry Kasper Risgård’s header on 52 minutes, but the home side breached FCK’s defence with just 11 minutes to go as Marvin Pourie beat Christensen to a long ball before sliding comfortably into an empty net.

Heinze was again on hand to save the day with a magnificent block from Igor Vetokele’s rebounded effort in the final minute after Cornelius smashed the ball onto the right-hand post.
