Santander bags midweek double

Federico Santander scored a double as FC Copenhagen came from behind to draw 2-2 at Randers on Wednesday night.

Santander opened the scoring in the 19th minute when the striker headed home Jan Gregus’ free-kick from the right.

Goals from former FCK frontman Marvin Pourie and defender Erik Marxen either side of halftime handed the hosts the lead.

Santander thought he had levelled on 67 minutes only for referee Jakob Kehlet to rule the goal out after spotting a handball.

But the Paraguayan was not to be denied his second when he struck with 12 minutes remaining.

William Kvist fed the ball through the midfield to Rasmus Falk, who offloaded to Santander to turn and strike on the volley from the edge of the area.

The draw keeps FCK top of the Alka Superliga as attention turns towards Saturday’s home clash with AGF.
