Rasmus Falk signs new FC Copenhagen contract

Rasmus Falk has signed a new contract extension at FC Copenhagen until the summer of 2022.

Falk jones FCK in the summer of 2016 and has since played 108 matches for the club.

"From day one, Rasmus has shown his worth to FCK, where he has also proved he can play internationally," says manager Ståle Solbakken.

"He was unlucky with a long injury as he really peaked around the Ajax match (this year), but he has rebuilt.

"He has some unique skills in Danish football - especially his intricate skills, which gives our game a different dimension.

"He covers more positions for us, and although he is a technically and offensively strong player, he is also extremely defensive and a good player.

"We are really happy that we have agreed a new deal with him, which ensures some continuity for both him and us."

Rasmus Falk is also pleased that the future is now in place.

"I am very pleased to extend my agreement with FCK. From the start I've been very well treated at the club where fans have made me feel welcome.

"I have already had many great experiences here, winning titles and playing European football, and FCK is a club at the international level which demands me deliver results every week.

"I think that is still inspiring and challenging, and I look forward to being part of the future."

Falk has won both the Danish title and DBU Cup with FCK, as well as having played the Champions League group stage once and the Europa League group stage twice.

"We are building a really exciting team and have a very strong squad, which I enjoy being a part of both on and off the pitch. We have a strong setup around us and have every opportunity to develop ourselves as players here," Falk added.

"Now it's about finishing off 2018 well and then we'll give everything to bring the championship home again next summer.
