Players show appreciation for terrace displays

Some spectacular terrace banners have graced several of FC Copenhagen’s home games in PARKEN this season, and the recipe for each beautiful display is creativity, hard work and financial donations.

Since the terrace displays, commonly known in Denmark is tifos, cost so much money to produce, the FCK playing squad have decided to donate 7,500 kr to the official fan club, to fund further spectacular crowd displays.

On behalf of the squad players, Jesper Grønkjær spoke to FCK.DK:

- This has been an idea in our minds for a long time and we wanted to show our gratitude for the tremendous job the fan club performs with the tifos, not least the ones we've seen and enjoyed in the Champions League this season. They have been creative and beautiful, and it's something we've talked about a lot in the dressing room. Therefore, we think it was appropriate for us to take a sum of money from our wages and donate it to the fund.

NOTE: It is possible for fans to support the tifo fund, via SMS. Simply text ‘Tifo’ to 1231. Each text will cost 50 kr, of which 47 kr goes directly towards the creation and production of the displays.
