Players discuss FCK's championship win

FC Copenhagen players celebrated winning an 11th Superliga title in style today with a 2-0 win over FC Nordsjælland securing the championship.

FCK.dk spoke to the squad after the match.

Youssef Toutouh

- It's a great day, both personally but also for the club, and our performance is hopefully something we can take over to the next season. It is my first championship with FC Copenhagen! I am proud of the performance, I'm happy for our manager, for his colleagues and the support from our supporters. I really hope that they now celebrate it as good as we will.

Benjamin Verbic

- Before the game we knew that if we won, we would be champions. We fought as we did in all our other matches. We really went for it to get ahead and then got that second goal. I think we as a team have shown that when we must win, we win!

Federico Santander

- I am a happy man. It's a great day for my family and for me. Also a big thanks to my team-mates and all our supporters. As I said, I'm so happy to win the championship.

William Kvist

- We spent some time getting up to speed but after that we crushed them. Our pressing is good and we scored when we got our chance. I think we are deserving champions, we beat all the top teams.

We have delivered the goods, especially in the final sprint, and I think that is what characterises this club. We are a club that want to win, we do everything right.

Erik Johansson

- It's great to be the champion. After just six months at the club I have now won both the title and the DBU Cup. We played good game, although the first half was perhaps not so good. But we were better in the last 45 minutes. I think we played a good game and I was glad that we decided the championship today.

Mathias Zanka

- What happened in the actual game today was not really that great - so it’s good that we won the match 2-0. A nice win and probably the culmination of a great season!
