Neestrup reacts to 2-0 win over FCN

F.C. Copenhagen brought the winning feeling back to Parken on Monday evening with a 2-0 victory over FC Nordsjælland in the second Superliga game of the spring.

The Lions won at Silkeborg last weekend and were back under the Parken lights for a big clash with FCN.

Goals from Viktor CLaesson and Elias Achouri either side of half time secured the victory, which pushes Jacob Neestrup's side back up to second place – a point behind Brøndby.

And neestrup was pleased with how the game panned out.

"In the first half, I think we were really good and played with great responsibility and deservedly took the lead. Maybe we should have created a few more chances in that period," said Neestrup.

"They came out at their best right after the break, before we again had a good period and scored the second goal. What's more, we still hadn't given anything away at the other end.

"But Nordsjælland were the best in the last quarter of the game and we ended up sitting much deeper than we would have liked. I don't know if it was mostly our fault or it was mostly to their merit, but lived life a little dangerously there. However, we defended very well by virtue of strong individual defensive performances.

"I'm very satisfied that we didn't make the same mistakes that we committed in the autumn, when we were vulnerable on conversions and defensive set pieces. When we can shut that down, which we did really well today, then it takes a lot to beat us.

"So all in all, I think we deserved to win."

Next up for FCK is a trip to FC MIdtjylland on Friday for another big game in the Superliga.
