Madsen: We'll analyse Brøndby defeat
F.C. Copenhagen assistant coach Stefan Madsen says the staff will analyse Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Brøndby before focusing on Thursday's Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
The Lions suffered defeat in the derby despite Mohamed Elyounoussi levelling just after the hour mark.
Madsen was in the dugout alongside the rest of the FCK staff, as head coach Jacob Neestrup missed the game through illness.
Reflecting on the match, Madsen said: "It was not a satisfactory performance, and in large parts of the match our play was not as it should have been.
"We had a reasonable start to the match and also created a few good opportunities, but then we played too slowly and had too many gaps in the team, and we were not dangerous at all going forward.
"However, I think we got a better grip in the second half, after we made the three substitutions and a little later equalised. A good period followed, but we did not take advantage of it. And when we fell behind 2-1, we had a hard time putting pressure on them again and getting something towards the end.
"So there was only a little that worked and too much that didn't. In general we lacked coherence, pace and intensity today, and we will of course have to go home and analyse that before we start again on Thursday against Leverkusen."
