Franco Mussis departs FCK

FC Copenhagen have sold midfielder Franco Mussis to Argentine champions San Lorenzo, ending his short stint on the FCK books.

Mussis arrived at the club last summer but went out on loan to Italian side Genoa at the start of the season.

Manager Ståle Solbakken said:

- The idea behind the acquisition of Mussis was a good one, for his qualities matched the profile we were looking for the central midfield.

- Unfortunately we did not succeed with his cultural transition, either on or off the field, and perhaps he traveled from Argentina two or three years too early.

- Franco Mussis was a fine representative of his nation and did his best, but the starting point was too hard for him to succeed.

- We are therefore very pleased that such a big club like San Lorenzo, who have just met Real Madrid in the World Club Cup final, were ready to buy him at a price which we are very pleased with.
