Four FCK youngsters on Europe's 'Golden Boy' rankings

Elias Jelert, Valdemar Lund, William Clem and Hákon Haraldsson are among the nominees for the prestigious Golden Boy talent award.

This year's list of nominees was published on Tuesday, and contains the 100 biggest European talents under the age of 21.

Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport is behind the award. The have a jury of sports journalists and a collaboration with Football Benchmark, which is the official data partner for the award.

Only Red Bull Salzburg have more players on the list (five) than F.C. Copenhagen. Our four youngsters have all received a large part of their football education at the FCK Talent Department.

For the first time, there are a total of 10 Danes on the list, which is the second most of all nationalities - only France has more with 14 youngsters. Our former striker Rasmus Højlund is the best Dane at rank 16, while Elias Jelert is up there at 20.

Last year, both Mohamed Daramy and Isak Johannesson were among the nominees for the award, which then went to FC Barcelona's Gavi.

The Golden Boy award has existed since 2003 and is awarded every year in December. Currently, Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala occupies top spot in the list of nominees.
