Copenhagen started strongly and took the lead after a number of chances had already come their way. Nicolai Jørgensen peeled off his man on the left edge of the box just as Claudemir chipped over a delightful ball - the winger cool enough to control before slotting past goalkeeper Lasse Heinze 28 minutes in.

It was soon 2-0 when Andreas Cornelius proved the winter break has not cost him his sharpness with a neat reaction to plunder the Silkeborg goal after Jørgensen had tested the keeper from a corner.

Copenhagen continued to pressure into the second half and got a third on 76 minutes when Cornelius shrugged off his man, bore down on goal and smoothly finished into the bottom-right corner to wrap up all three points for FCK.

Although SIF got a consolation goal through Jesper Mikkelsen's wicket free kick, they could not stop FCK securing a second win of the spring season.
