FCK Women to bid farewell to a number of players
F.C. Copenhagen Women will play their last game of the season this Saturday on a day of celebration for securing promotion to the A-Liga – but it is also a day we bid farewell to a number of players.
The game against FC Midtjylland this weekend is a chance for fans, players and staff to come together and celebrate promotion.
However, Thea Rhode, Anna Kaas, Cecilie Byrnak and Laura Vervacke will depart the club at the end of the season – and they will all be honoured before the start of the match in Vanløse.
"We are grateful for the role that Thea, Anna, Cecilie and Laura have played, both on and off the pitch. They will always be part of our origin story as we move forward on this journey. We wish them all the best in their next steps, and we will follow their careers closely," says Romaney Pinnock, head of women's football at F.C. Copenhagen.
Laura Vervacke has decided to return home to Belgium.
We encourage all F.C. Copenhagen fans to come out and say goodbye and thank them – and support the team in the last game of the season. But if you don't have the opportunity to be in the stands, you can still follow the game live.
You can watch the match live from 1:55pm in your FCK App or on TV.FCK.DK. All you need is a free FCK profile to watch the stream. You can also watch the match live on Pluto TV, which has a studio preview prior to kick off.
With a win, FCK can join FC Midtjylland at the top of the table.
