FCK sign Norwegian International

FC Copenhagen have today signed an agreement with SC Heerenveen to bring 27-year-old Norwegian international Christian Grindheim to PARKEN on a three-year deal.

Speaking at a press conference in PARKEN, Sporting Director Carsten V. Jensen commented:

- Christian is a very experienced midfield player who has many seasons of Norwegian and Dutch football behind him. He has played virtually every minute in all matches, so he is a very steady player who is always first on the team sheet. Christian is a player at an age best suited, and he is also a solid man on the Norwegian national team, where he has earned 43 matches to date. Most recently he played in the European Championship qualifying match against Portugal. We've kept an eye on Christian for a long time. Now came the opportunity to make contact with him, and that of course we were are happy to do. He is a very loyal, team player who works well going forward and tracking back, and he has a great eye for the game that we look forward to enjoying.

Grindheim himself was on hand to comment on his feelings, following the move:

- I am very pleased to come to a top club such as FC Copenhagen, who have been successful for many years. I'm here to win football matches and to earn great experiences both in the national league and at European level. I feel that the switch from Heerenveen to FCK comes at a perfect time for me and I am excited to get started with my new challenges.
