Vardar-FCK

FCK players react to Vardar defeat

Youssef Toutouh

"If we perform at our best in the return match we have the opportunity to progress, but we'll smash Hobro first on Saturday before we think of the return match.

“We'll probably get a chance and we'll do everything we can to score the necessary goals. The heat was a problem here but it is definitely not an excuse.

“The pitch was excellent and I also think we had the chances to win.”

Nicolaj Thomsen

Discussing his missed chance late in the game: “I don’t know what to say, I just didn’t get it right, which is of course extremely annoying.

“1-1 would have given us a completely different starting point for next week.

“It's harder now but I think we certainly have the opportunity to progress. However, as I said, I’m really annoyed.”

William Kvist

"It's not impossible to turn around, but there’s an anxiety when you lose and fail to score away away from home.

“It was an even match and it's a was a bit of a random chance that led to their goal. They also have other goodies chances but they rarely played through us.

“We ourselves were lacking offensively.”

The return leg takes place in Telia Parken at 8pm on 2 August. Buy your tickets for the match here.
