F.C. Copenhagen vs Brøndby tickets selling fast
F.C. Copenhagen tickets for Sunday's derby against Brøndby are still on sale but are selling out fast.
More than 25,000 fans have already secured their seat for the first Copenhagen derby of the season on 8 August.
The milestone comes as FCK can confirm 17,000 season tickets and subscriptions have now been sold for the 2021/22 season, while Sektion 12 – the iconic home end in Parken Stadium – is now sold out on both tiers.
"First and foremost, we are really looking forward to hosting a real derby again," says FCK commercial director Jacob Lauesen.
"We have all missed the showdown in its true guise with fans from both clubs and an incredible atmosphere in the stands. It will be the biggest spectator event on Danish soil in a year and a half, and we are hoping to fill Parken once again, which is amazing.
"We are expecting the match to be sold out, and the opportunity is definitely there.
"Several stands and sections are already sold out. Of course there are still some restrictions, but it is a huge milestone for us to once again have full capacity, and we look forward to having fans in the away section again. It adds an extra dimension to the experience."
FCK and Brøndby are yet to face each other this season and have not clashed in front of a full house since before the coronavirus pandemic.
Tickets are on sale and can be bought at billet.fck.dk.
"The interest in the derby is massive, and when we take our season ticket sales into consideration, there is a great desire to come to the stadium again. We are really looking forward to it," added Jacob.
Unique spectator experience
As with previous derbies, Brøndby's fans will be placed in the D Stand, while the other stands are reserved for FCK supporters.
“The derby is always a unique spectator experience with tifos and an intense atmosphere. It is a big part of the experience and is something akin to big international games," said Jacob.
"We know that there are plans to create an extraordinary display for this derby, so there are plenty of good reasons to come and be a part of it all."
The match kicks off at 4pm on Sunday, 8 August.
