Europa draw to be made today

Today at 13:00 CEST the draw will be made for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League in Monaco. Danish champions FC Copenhagen are seeded in the top group of teams for the tournament, meaning they avoid many top clubs on the continent.


A total of 48 teams will be distributed into 12 pools, with four clubs in each pool. Each time is therefore guaranteed three home and three away matches, with the top two progressing to the last 16 round held in February. These qualifying teams will also be joined by the third-placed clubs in UEFA Champions League groups.


The four-tier seeding has been announced, with FCK lying in the heart of the pot. Below are the clubs Copenhagen could draw, one from each pool:

FC Copenhagen could meet FC Rubin Kazan again, in a replay of the PARKEN clash last season during the UEFA Champions League group stage.
