Spartak take spoils in Spanish final

Copenhagen's winter schedule

After a brief Christmas break the FCK boys will be back in training next week ready to continue their Superliga title challenge in 2013.

FC Copenhagen’s players are currently on holiday but there is not much time before the squad return to prepare for a series of crucial spring matches in the Superliga. The players are expected to return for training at Number 10 on 7 January, where Ariel Jacobs and co. will put them through their paces.

FCK will stay in Denmark until 22 January, when they fly out to Spain to play in the annual Copa del Sol tournament in La Manga. Before then they face FC Vestjælland in a friendly game on 19 January – more details to follow.

Come late January the squad will pitch up in La Manga and play three games against fellow European clubs taking a winter break. The fixtures for that tournament are as follows:

24 January – Unknown opponent

27 January – Widzew Lodz (POL)

30 January – FC Vaslui (ROM)

Should Copenhagen win their group, they will progress to the final on 2 February.

After the Copa del Sol the team will return to Denmark where they face Rosenborg BK on 16 February. Another friendly, this time against Europa League opponents Molde FK, is penned in for 22 February, while a day later Swedish side Helsingborg IF come to town.

All matches after the Copa del Sol will be played in Copenhagen although no kick off times have been announced as yet.
