Carlo Holse extends contract and go on loan to Esbjerg

FC Copenhagen have extended Carlo Holse's contract until the summer of 2022. He will also go on loan to Esbjerg fB for the rest of this season.

Holse, 19, joined FCK's Talent Department from B1903 and made his first team-debut in March 2017. He has scored four goals in 29 games.

”Carlo has already been in the starting 11 in difficult away games against teams like FC Zenit and Lokomotiv Moscow. We have extended his contract because we see a great potential above the level he already has reached," FCK manager Ståle Solbakken said.

"He has a good technique, he is fast and relatively strong, and he is also aware of the hard work needed to fulfil his potential. Esbjerg have a strong team and a good organisation, which gives him a good opportunity to play more in the Superliga.

"It's a good solution for everyone, and Carlo will definitely improve from more playing time at a high level."

Carlo himself is ready for the new challenge.

"First of all, the extension makes me happy and proud about the confidence that the club have shown me," Carlo told FCK.dk.

"Now I can fully concentrate on my further development, and in that sense the stay in Esbjerg is perfect for me.

"I will work hard to help Esbjerg and I will try to play as much as possible.

"Living and playing in a different environment than I've been used to will also help me to improve as a player, and I look forward to meeting my new teammates and to an exciting stay in Esbjerg."
