Buur: Delighted to kick off summer with clean sheet

Oscar Burr says he was pleased to secure a clean sheet and deliver for the Lions as F.C. Copenhagen battled to a 0-0 draw against Ludogorets in the first pre-season friendly of the summer on Monday.

Teenage goalkeeper Oscar Buur played the full 90 minutes for FCK and says the team did well on their first game back.

"It was a great feeling to start the first game of pre-season by keeping a clean sheet," says Buur.

"Of course, we would prefer to avoid a draw, and we must do so in future if we are to achieve our goals this season, but that is often how it is in these games. It was tough today, but we kept a clean sheet."

Buur started the year well, only for an injury to keep him side lined for a while, before he returned towards the end of spring.

Now he hopes to continue where he left off last winter.

"It's great to have the confidence of the coaches again, and I think I've started well, so now I just have to build on the good start I had last year before I got injured," adds Buur.

"I made a couple of good saves today, but I would have liked to have been a bit sharper in some phases. But it was the first game of pre-season, and I'm just happy that I managed most of it."

FCK head coach Jacob Neestrup is also pleased with the 18-year-old keeper's performance.

"Oscar is a great keeper, and it was good to see that he came in and played with calmness," says Neestrup.

"He had a lot of good saves today and I think he was excellent, which was good to see."

Fellow goalkeeper Nathan Trott will play Thursday's game against Sparta Prague.
