Brede Hangeland sold to Fulham FC

F.C. Copenhagen can today confirm that the club has come to an agreement with the English Premier League club Fulham FC regarding the sale of the Norwegian defender Brede Hangeland.

 

Brede Hangeland came to the club in the winter break of 2006 and played an impressive 107 games out of a total of 110 in his spell at F.C. Copenhagen. He was in the starting eleven on 103 occasions and scored 6 goals for the club.

 

- Brede has made a major contribution to the success of the club in his time here, and both on and off the pitch he has been an shining example for all the players. We wish him and his family good luck in London, says the Director of Sport Carsten V. Jensen.

 

- I have had two fantastic years in Copenhagen, with Champions League and UEFA Cup football, but it is no secret that I have for a long time wanted to have a chance to play in the English Premier League, and now I look forward to a new challenge at Fulham.
