Bergvold moves out on loan

Martin Bergvold’s loan transfer between FC Copenhagen and Lyngby BK has been completed. The midfielder has signed for the spring season, and will join the team ahead of Lyngby’s first game against FC Midtjylland on 4 March.

FCK manager and sports director Carsten V. Jensen was on hand to offer his support for the departing Bergvold:

- We have decided that it was best for Martin to be loaned out to get some more playing time than he probably would get at FC Copenhagen. Therefore we are pleased that he now gets the chance to play in the spring for Lyngby BK. We wish Martin luck at his new club.

Bergvold himself also spoke to FCK.DK about the move:

- I am glad that FC Copenhagen have given me the opportunity to go out on loan. At Lyngby I hope to have more playing time, and that is what I need in my current situation. I hope I can contribute to Lyngby’s campaign to stay in the Superliga after the summer.

Martin Bergvold has made a total of 111 appearances for FC Copenhagen over two spells at the club, punctuated by a three and a half year stint at Livorno.
