CV: - Anything can happen
FC Copenhagen’s head coach Carsten V. Jensen attended a press conference in PARKEN this afternoon ahead of the club’s DBU Cup final against AC Horsens on Thursday.
Also present at the meeting was club captain Mathis Zanka and Lars Jacobsen, while Horsens were represented by head coach Johnny Mølby, Nils Lodberg and Martin Retorv.
At the meeting, it was reported that 17,000 tickets have already been sold for the final, which will be played at 18:00 on Thursday evening in PARKEN stadium. Horsens already have 86 busses scheduled to head to the capital for the clash, and it is still possible to buy tickets.
Talking to the press, CV warned of the challenge ahead of FCK in the final:
- This is cup football; anything can happen. Nothing is a foregone conclusion. I do not think you can call either team favourites in a match like this.
On the possibility that FCK’s crucial match in Herning next Sunday may affect team selection for the final, CV said:
- We must make some choices, but everyone in our squad is able to contribute to the team. We are going to field a strong team that can beat Horsens. We have played games since last autumn, so of course we will go for the win. Otherwise, it would just be wasted work.
CV also told the press that Lars Jacobsen and Mathias Zanka will be in the starting line-up for the final.
