Kjøbenhavns Boldklub's 150th anniversary in pictures
Kjøbenhavns Boldklub – one of F.C. Copenhagen's founding clubs – celebrated its 150th anniversary over the weekend with a series of special events.
There was a large reception for the main celebration in Pejsesalen at K.B. Hallen, where a number of the club's traditional honours were also awarded to active players and managers.
Oliver Højer was presented with the commemorative trophy "Granen", which KB first awarded in 1944. It is reserved for junior or youth players, particularly the oldest talent age group, and in recent years has been awarded to William Clem, Victor Froholdt and Hunor Németh.
Gert Petersen appointed honorary gallerist
Among the other award recipients was Gert Petersen, who was appointed honorary gallerist. Gert is a board member of KB, chairman of KB's Business Club and has also represented KB on the F.C. Copenhagen board since he took over the position from Niels-Christian Holmstrøm in 2019.
The Honorary Gallery was founded on KB's birthday in 1942, when 66 members' portraits were hung in the boardroom at KB - one member for each year of the club's existence up to that point. Since then, a portrait has been hung every year, and now Gert's portrait also appears on the honoured gallery wall.
