FCK beat Vejle 3-0 in blue and white KB tribute

F.C. Copenhagen celebrated the 150th anniversary of Kjøbenhavns Boldklub with a 3-0 win over Vejle on Sunday, during which the players wore their special anniversary shirt.

The Lions took to the field in KB's traditional blue and white stripes, and led through Mohamed Elyounoussi's effort on 31 minutes.

Viktor Dadason then made it 2-0 midway through the second half, before Jordan Larsson converted a penalty with five minutes remaining to wrap up the victory.

After the match, head coach Bo Svensson said he expected a more comfortable performance, despite the end result.

"It's always nice and important to win, but having said that, today's performance wasn't good enough," said Svensson.

"On paper, both the result and the other data from the match look like a convincing victory, but we didn't deliver a convincing performance. We had many challenges in the game, and first and foremost it was our high pressure that didn't work, so they played out too easily.

"We won because we have more individual quality in the last third of the field, but not because we were better in team tactics. We simply have to do that better, and we have to hit the same high intensity that we had in the first half against OB - and not play at 90%, like we did today.

"But of course I'm really happy with the victory tonight, because that's what it's all about, especially when we play in Parken. But if we're going to increase the likelihood of continuing to win, we have to do better than today."

Reflecting on the anniversary celebrations, Svensson added: "It was special for me. I grew up at KB from the age of six until I was 26 and traveled abroad. It's a very nice anniversary shirt, which many in the stands were also wearing, and also the big, great tifo when the players took to the field."
