F.C. Copenhagen extend Villads Bille contract

F.C. Copenhagen have extended 16-year-old goalkeeper Villads Bille's contract. Despite his young age, Bille is already a regular part of the club's U19 team.

Development director Morten Grahn said of the deal: "First and foremost, we are in a situation where we have an incredible number of talented young goalkeepers in our talent environment. It is a gift to the coaches and the environment that we have so many talented players.

"Villads has been a profile in the club ever since U14, and from day one he has demonstrated a training mentality and some leadership skills beyond the ordinary.

"He has strong personal skills, is very mature for his age and good socially - and at the same time he places high demands on his surroundings. In short, he is a real F.C. Copenhagen player.

"His goalkeeping is at a really high level. He is a modern goalkeeper who is both skilled with his feet and is strong at saving. He delivers consistent performances in both training and matches, and we look forward to seeing Villads take the next steps with us."

Bille joined FCK Talent from Gentofte Football Academy as an U13 player. The talented goalkeeper has also made a name for himself nationally with seven U16 appearances for Denmark on his CV.

"I am incredibly proud and happy to extend my agreement with F.C. Copenhagen," says Bille.

"We have an absolutely fantastic environment at the club, where the coaches push us in the right direction every single day, and where I am surrounded by some fantastic teammates.

"We lift each other up every day, and I am looking forward to continuing to work together with the boys and the staff, so that we can achieve our common goal."
