FCK Women's Ally Green heading to 2027 World Cup

F.C. Copenhagen's New Zealand international Ally Green will be heading to the 2027 World Cup.

This spring, the New Zealand national team qualified for upcoming Women's World Cup, which will be played next summer in Brazil.

It is the sixth successive tournament New Zealand have qualified for, and Green featured in their recent international break.

New Zealand won their preliminary group earlier this year and in the weekend's semi-final they beat Fiji 5-0, before this week beating Papua New Guinea 1-0 in the decisive qualifying match in Auckland.

Green started against Fiji and played the first hour, and she sat on the bench against Papua New Guinea.

She was one of the four reinforcements to come into the F.C. Copenhagen playing squad this winter, and the team is now fighting for promotion to the A-Liga.

Upcoming games for FCK Women
After the international break, F.C. Copenhagen Women will head to Herning and face FC Midtjylland on Saturday 25 April. The next home match in Vanløse Idrætspark is Saturday 2 May at 2pm against OB Q. You can see the entire spring schedule here.
