Jubel efter scoring

FCK deliver 'complete performance' in 2-0 win over FCN – Svensson

Parken Stadium was rocking on Thursday evening as F.C. Copenhagen beat FC Nordsjælland 2-0 thanks to first-half goals from Robert Silva and Alex Král.

Robert opened the scoring on eight minutes when catching an FCN defender off guard and slotting past the goalkeeper. Král then rocketed home a second on 31 minutes from the edge of the area.

The win means FCK move to of the Superliga, with five teams all within two points of each other.

After the match head coach Bo Svensson said: "I am very satisfied with a complete team performance tonight.

"It was deliberate that we started with a high pressure, even though they are not the easiest team to press high, but the players came with the necessary energy and a very high intensity.

"Nordsjælland are a good team and have been playing strongly since the start of the season, but we solved the problems they gave us, and I never felt we lost control of the game.

"We didn't give anything away tonight and could have scored more than the two goals. I really think we showed the level we want to be at, and that applies to everyone, both those who started today and those who came off the bench. I can't single out one over the others.

"I'm proud, but not really surprised, that the players delivered such a performance tonight, both because it's the 12th game of the season and there have been big changes made to several players, but also after all the turmoil that has been going on in the transfer window with players leaving the club and new ones coming in. The group has handled that excellently."

Next up for FCK is a trip to OB on Sunday, where our away section has long been sold out. After that the Lions return to Parken on Friday 11 September for a 7pm showdown with AC Horsens.
