Conference League victory over FC Iberia

Goals from Mohamed Elyounoussi and Maher Carrizo helped deliver a 2-1 victory over FC Iberia 1999 for F.C. Copenhagen in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday evening.

Elyounoussi opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Carrizo doubled the lead inside 22 minutes in Parken.

Iberia's Amiran Dzagania hit back on the half-hour mark after a mix-up in the Lions defence, before Jean-Marc Tiboué thought he'd levelled the scores for the visitors – only for VAR to rule out the goal.

Marcos López came close to making it 3-1 to the hosts midway through the second half but spurned his chance, with few openings for either side thereafter.

The win means FCK sit seventh in the Conference League's league phase with seven points from three games. And after a night where head coach Bo Svensson rotated his squad, focus now turns towards Sunday's derby against Brøndby.
