Theo Sander sold to IF Elfsborg

Theo Sander has joined IF Elfsborg in the Allsvenskan on a permanent basis, after most recently being loaned out to OB.

F.C. Copenhagen technical director Nils Koppen says about the deal: “There has been a desire from all parties to find a permanent solution for Theo after a couple of seasons on loan. Therefore, it is gratifying that we have been able to make a good deal to the benefit of both Theo and F.C. Copenhagen.

“Theo should be thanked a lot for his time at F.C. Copenhagen, where he has worked impeccably and been extremely professional. We wish him all the best in the future.”

Sander joined F.C. Copenhagen from AaB in the summer of 2023 and played six games for the Lions.

“I would like to say thank you for some good years, which have made me much more mature and which have contributed to my development,” says Sander.

“There has always been a high level of training, and the goalkeeper training under Kim Christensen has been a great inspiration for me.

“I take every moment with me as part of my development for the future. And I am proud to have stood in goal for F.C. Copenhagen.”
