F.C. Copenhagen extend Xander Poulsen contract
Xander Poulsen has signed a new contract with F.C. Copenhagen.
The 17-year-old left back joined FCK Talent in the summer of 2024 from Lyngby Boldklub. Poulsen has also previously played in one of F.C. Copenhagen’s parent clubs, B1903.
Development director Morten Grahn is pleased that the parties have come together to agree a new contract.
“We are incredibly happy that we have agreed a new contract with Xander, who has shown a really high top level since his arrival.
“We have had no doubts about his potential, and especially this spring Xander has taken some big developmental steps after he moved base to the U19 team.
"As a modern left-back, he possesses several exciting key skills, where his physique and good left foot stand out in particular. We have great faith that together we can move his level further in the coming years, and we look forward to seeing Xander's ambition to become even better and achieve his goal of playing in front of everyone in Parken.”
Poulsen, who has been capped 13 times for the U17 national team, is delighted to continue building on his development at F.C. Copenhagen.
"It's a fantastic feeling to sign a new deal!” he says.
"I've been incredibly happy with my time at the club ever since I came here, and I feel that F.C. Copenhagen has presented a really good plan for me.
"The training is at a really high level, and I'm being pushed to the max every day. Now it's about working even harder, repaying the trust on the pitch and taking the next steps in my development.”
