F.C. Copenhagen sign Emelía Óskarsdóttir

F.C. Copenhagen are delighted to announce the signing of Emelía Óskarsdóttir on loan from HB Køge Women until the summer of 2026.

With the addition of Emelía Óskarsdóttir, the Lionesses now continue preparations for the A Liga qualifying campaign, which begins this spring. 

The 19-year-old Icelandic forward strengthens the quality and breadth of the squad for the important matches in the spring half of the season.

Óskarsdóttir was named Talent of the Year 2025 at HB Køge Women as recently as December and will bring power, explosivity and offensive initiative to the Lionesses.

“Emelía brings both quality and intensity to our squad at an important stage,” says Romaney Pinnock, Head of Women's Football at F.C. København.

“She strengthens our ambition to advance to the A Liga, and we look forward to welcoming her.

“We share a common understanding with HB Køge Women of the importance of regular playing time for promising talents, which is crucial if we are to continue to raise the level and accelerate the development of women's football. This loan agreement benefits all parties."

If the name sounds a little familiar, a natural eye for goals and a love of attacking runs in the family, as Emelía Óskarsdóttir is the younger sister of former F.C. Copenhagen Men's first-team striker Orri Óskarsson.

Emelía will join us immediately, when there is still a month and a half until the first match.
