FCK fight back for 1-1 draw with Napoli

F.C. Copenhagen earned a battling draw with SSC Napoli on Tuesday night, coming from a goal down with 10 men to secure what may be a crucial point in the League Phase.

Jordan Larsson scored the rebound from his second-half penalty to level the scores after Scott McTominay had headed the visitors in front before the break.

Napoli's opener came minutes after Thomas Delaney was shown a straight red card after a VAR review for a high challenge on Stanislav Lobotka.

Viktor Dadason was sacrificed in favour of Pantelis Hatzidiakos at that point and, while Napoli edged in front, Hatzidiakos and his fellow defenders kept Rasmus Højlund at bay for the rest of the game.

The point means FCK sit 24th in the League Phase – the last position available to advance to the knockout round. More teams will play their Gameweek 7 matches on Wednesday, before a final round next week, where FCK head to FC Barcelona.

The club would like to express our huge thanks to the 35,022 fans who packed Parken and made for another memorable European night in Copenhagen.
