F.C. Copenhagen Women to play in Parken Stadium in June

F.C. Copenhagen Women will play in Parken Stadium for the first time on Sunday 8 June – a historic moment for the club.

The FCK Women's team launched last summer and is current competing for promotion to the 1st Division. They have been playing home games at Vanløse Idrætspark this season.

FCK are delighted to confirm the team will now play in Parken Stadium – Denmark's national stadium – for their last game of the 2024/25 season against Næstved HG (4pm, 7 June).

It's possible that the match will also serve as a celebration of FCK Women's promotion to the second tier in Danish football.

“We want to underline how proud we are of our women's team, which has come an incredible distance in a very short time," says FCK CEO Jacob Lauesen.

"It's absolutely fantastic to follow them and we want to share that experience with all F.C. Copenhagen fans. At the same time, we - hopefully - have the opportunity to mark the first promotion in the club's entire history."

The match against Næstved HG was originally scheduled for Saturday June 7, but Næstved have kindly agreed to move the match to Sunday, as Parken is occupied by Denmark Men's match against Northern Ireland on Saturday.

Just one step on the road
Rebecca Steel, head of women's football at FCK, hopes the game in Parken will break more records this season.

“We hope that we can once again set a new attendance record and at the same time create further attention and interest in Danish women's football," says Rebecca.

"This is just another step of many, and our ambition does not end here. Not at all. We have only just begun, but we are extremely excited."

FCK Women have had a very successful first season in terms of results, performances on the pitch, events and fan experiences around matches, interest from fans, and the great support from our partners. A big thank you goes to the Lionesses' Main Partners – Andel, adidas, Carlsberg, Codan and Audi – who have ensured that the Lionesses can play this special match in Parken.
