Tijan Njie er ny assistenttræner i F.C. København

Tijan Njie appointed new assistant coach

F.C. Copenhagen are delighted to announce the appointment of Tijan Njie as assistant coach, following Bo Svensson's arrival as head coach this week.

Njie, 33, has worked alongside Svensson for many years, since they first met at the FSV Mainz 05 academy in 2017.

Njie worked as a video analyst for FSV Mainz 05’s Bundesliga team while Svensson was head coach, and most recently as assistant coach to Svensson at Union Berlin.

“I am very pleased that Tijan has decided to come to Copenhagen," says Svensson, F.C. Copenhagen’s new head coach.

"He is excellent with the players and a very important thinking partner for me. He possesses a particularly strong analytical mindset and is highly skilled at linking data with on-pitch execution."

Njie says: “I am very much looking forward to this role.

"F.C. Copenhagen is a fantastic club, and I am very happy to come to Denmark with Bo. For me, this is a very exciting challenge."
