Sarah Jankovska joins the Lionesses

F.C. Copenhagen are delighted to confirm the signing of 27-year-old midfielder Sarah Jankovska.

Jankovska joins the Lionesses after leaving FC Badalona Women in Spain's Liga F division this summer.

Born and raised in Copenhagen, Jankovska – whose parents are from North Macedonia – gained Danish citizenship since 2018 and has twice represented Denmark's national team. She also previously played a number of matches for Denmark's U19 and U23 national teams.

Jankovska began her football career in Østerbro at BK Skjold and then played senior football at Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold, FC Nordsjælland, B.93 and HB Køge, before moving to French club Dijon FCO in 2023.

After two years in French football, she left to join FC Badalona Women, and is now looking forward to returning home and representing F.C. Copenhagen in the A-Liga.

Romaney Pinnock, Head of Women's Football, says of the agreement with Sarah Jankovska: “Sarah has spoken openly about the personal challenges she has experienced during her football career, and how these have helped her become mentally stronger. We hope to provide a supportive and professional environment for Sarah – one that allows her to shine both on and off the pitch."

Jankovska will wear shirt No 10 this season and will be eligible for action as early as Saturday's home game at 1pm against ASA, Aarhus.
