Player reaction after 0-0 draw in Prague

FC Copenhagen defender Andreas Bjelland admits the 0-0 draw with Slavia Prague was "not the sexiest of matches" but the Lions got the job done.

FCK earned a credible point at Slavia Prague on Thursday night to keep their hopes of Europa League progression alive.

And Bjelland was all praise for his team-mates.

"It was good, we got a point, even though it was not the sexiest of matches," the centre-back told FCK.dk.

"But that's how it happens sometimes in Europe. We got one point and so we're still in the group.

"We needed a bit of coolness on the ball, and we did not really get through their defence where they were good man against man. But with today's point, we stay alive in the group and that is important."

FCK midfielder Jan Gregus also discussed the game.

"It was a hard-fought game and there were not many chances for any of the teams," Gregus said.

"We delivered a very strong defensive effort and made sure they did not get anything. We were better defensively than we were offensively, but we also faced a team with a lot of qualities."

Goalkeeper Stephan Andersen was called into action on a handful of occasions as FCK restricted their hosts to long-range shots.

"It was difficult, but we knew it would be," Andersen said.

"We were very good defensively, while our attack was not so good. But we got a good point and it's a point that can turn out to be really valuable."

Pierre Bengtsson was a first-half substitute in the clash at Eden Arena after Nicolai Boilesen came off injured.

And the left-back admitted he wasn't quite ready to come on when the injury happened!

"Yes, I came on a little quickly, but I think we defended very well against a really good team - and we also kept a clean sheet," he said.

"One point is OK, because that means we're still living in the group - and we still have a chance to progress with two games remaining."

Next up for FCK is a trip to Zenit St Petersburg in a game that could decide the Lions' fate in this group.

Solbakken's men then host Bordeaux in the final group game of the competition.
