Peter Larsson joins F.C. Copenhagen

F.C. Copenhagen has signed Swedish defender Peter Larsson from Halmstads BK in Allsvenskan. He has been a regular in the Halmstad defence during the last three seasons and played 139 games for the club. In January 2008 he made his International debut for Sweden against Costa Rica.

Peter Larsson has signed a 5 year-contract, and Sports Director Carsten V. Jensen reveals that other European clubs were interested in the 24 year old Swede:

- After Michael Gravgaards transfer to Nantes it was important for us to find the right profile to replace him. We are satisfied that F.C. Copenhagen again has suceeded in signing a player in competition with other European clubs. We have been following Peter for a long time and he is without doubt one of the best Scandinavian players at his position.

Peter Larsson will wear jersey number 12, and he will join the squad immediately and take part in the training from Friday.

Carsten V. Jensen welcomes Peter Larsson to F.C. Copenhagen in front of a group of very surprised guests, who happened to be on a guided tour in PARKEN.
