New Østerbro traffic changes north of Parken Stadium

A new pilot project in the Climate Quarter, Copenhagen's first climate resilient neighbourhood, in Østerbro makes driving more difficult in the area within the roads of Lyngbyvej, Jagtvej, Østerbrogade and Vognmandsmarken/Bellmannsgade.

This is being done to cope with the increasing rain and snowfall, and reduce through traffic in the neighbourhood, so that cyclists and pedestrians can feel safer in traffic.

The trial will run from February to November 2026, after which politicians will decide on a permanent solution.

You can still drive into the area, but as can be seen from the map below, there are new one-way streets, entry bans and road closures.

We have previously informed supporters about the roadworks on Øster Allé, which is still one-way between Edel Sauntes Alle and Per Henrik Lings Allé. This means you still cannot drive towards Parken from the north.

Since it is already difficult to find parking in the area (which is also no longer free on weekends), we always recommend that you leave your car at home or as far from the stadium as safely possible and use the metro, train or buses to get to Parken, if you don't plan to cycle or walk.
