Neestrup: Get as many points as possible this autumn

F.C. Copenhagen head coach Jacob Neestrup says all he wants from his first game in charge against AGF on Sunday is three points.

There will be more than 30,000 fans expected in Parken Stadium for the 6pm kick off in the Danish capital.

And the new boss wants to get points on the board straight away.

"It's a packed fixture list for the rest of the autumn and we have one focus, to get as many points as we can, so that we're in the fight for the championship come the spring. This requires us to improve, and we have to get better quite quickly," says Neestrup.

"The way to that is for us to find our collective expression and the balance of the team in all matches, so that we are constant and stable in our performances.

"There will be periods in every game when we fail to peak in terms of play, and at these stages we must maintain our solidity. It all starts against AGF, where we must leave Parken with three points."

Neestrup announced his first squad on Saturday afternoon, after FCK's international players had returned from their respective duties.

"As usual, we have had quite a few players with different national teams around the world, and some have played a lot, while others have been under less pressure," says Neestrup.

"We have had a few good days with everyone gathered in Copenhagen and preparing for the match against AGF, and luckily we are relatively spared from injury. We have Andreas Cornelius and Kamil Grabara available again, among others, which is of course a big plus for us."

And supporters are reminded that the FCK Fan Zone is open two hours before kick off behind the B Stand.
