Josefine Svava signs FCK Talent Girls' first contract

F.C. Copenhagen are delighted to announce that Josefine Svava has signed a talent contract with the club - the first player from FCK Talent Girls to agree to a formal contract.

FCK's Head of Women's Football Romaney Pinnock says the agreement is another big step in the development of women's football at F.C. Copenhagen.

"Josefine is the first player from FCK Talent Girls (FCK Talent Piger) to sign a formal contract, and it shows the path that is now possible for our greatest talents," she says.

"We are very pleased that she will continue her development at F.C. Copenhagen, and we look forward to more girls following her along the way."

Casper Kåre Hansen, talent manager at FCK Girls, adds: “Josefine is a dynamic and technically skilled player in attacking midfield, where she has the qualities to be decisive with goals or assists. She plays daily on our joint team for girls and boys, which has proven to be an even greater success than we dared to hope for.

“She has developed very well through training and matches on the joint team, and she has also played with KB’s boys’ team, participated in DBU’s joint talent development and also trains twice a week with our women’s senior team."

Svava, who signed her agereement with FCK on the day of her 15th birthday, played at B.93 and FC Nordsjælland before moving to F.C. Copenhagen. Her sister, Sofie Svava, plays for Lyon and is part of the Danish national team, which recently qualified for the World Cup in Brazil next year.
