Jonas Wind: The atmosphere will be crazy!

FC Copenhagen youngster Jonas Wind hopes to make his first appearance in the Europa League tonight.

FCK face Bordeaux knowing a win is crucial if the Lions are to stand any chance of qualifying for the Europa League knockout stage.

And the forward wants to taste that famous Telia Parken atmosphere for himself - having supported the Lions from the stands in many a Champions League and Europa League game in his youth.

"This is my first European game here in Parken so I am looking forward to feeling the atmosphere here!" Wind told FCK.dk.

"Of course we need to win but we are capable of doing that. I hope we create a good memory for the FCK fans."

Wind knows all about how special Parken European knights can be.

"It's a crazy atmosphere. It's an unbelievable feeling, especially in the Champions League," he said.

"It's been huge to support the team and now to play in the Europa League, I'm looking forward to it.

"I sat behind the bench to watch Champions League and Europa League games. I had a great view onto the pitch! I dreamed of playing European games.

"It's always been a big dream first of all to play for the club, and then to play European football for the club that I love.

"It would be a big dream come true so I hope I can play some minutes tomorrow and play my first European home game here in Parken."

Wind has played an increasingly important role in Ståle Solbakken's team this season and wants to see out 2018 with a bang.

"I didn't have the best start to the season with my injury but I have come back from that and played well. The team has been good - we are in first place in the Superliga and still in the running to qualify for the Europa League knockout round. So it's been a good season so far!"

And he had one last message to the FCK supporters ahead of Thursday's 9pm kickoff.

"Just to come here and support us!" he said.

"And hopefully we can create that miracle that we all hope for. Come here to create a memory, a night not to forget!"
