FCK form against SønderjyskE

FC Copenhagen go into their Superliga match on Sunday in the knowledge that their opponents SønderjyskE will be no easy task to overcome. SønderjyskE are one of only five teams – all of which incidentally come from Jutland – to have taken points away from the Danish champions this season, and in both games SE were at one stage 1-0 ahead.

The most recent match between the sides was in November at Haderslev Stadium, where SønderjyskE took the lead and then doubled their advantage thanks to goals from Rasmus G. Hansen and Mustafa Kucukovic. Dame N’Doye then halved the deficit just after interval.

Eight minutes later however, Kenneth Fabricius pounced to put the home side 3-1 up, and Copenhagen were suddenly facing their first defeat of the season. The Lions got stuck in however, and Martin Vingaard quickly scored to maintain the pressure. And, as the seconds ticked down in stoppage time, N’Doye once again proved his worth with his second of the game, to pluck a 3-3 draw out of certain defeat.

SønderjyskE were also 1-0 ahead in the first game of the season: Hansen again scoring from the penalty spot. The hosts were too generous in defence however, as they scored two own goals to give FCK the lead. Vingaard then scored a third to secure the points for Copenhagen, and give them a winning start to the 2010/11 Superliga season.
