FCK beat OB 2-1 in Parken

First-half goals from Mads Emil Madsen and Jordan Larsson helped guide F.C. Copenhagen to a 2-1 win over OB on Wednesday – the fourth straight win under head coach Bo Svensson.

Reflecting on the match in Parken, the boss said: "It was a nice victory and an important one against our closest competitor for seventh place.

"Our first half-hour was really good with many great chances, which we just didn't convert. Before the break we also got the important second goal, but we should have probably led by at least one more after the first half.

"After the break we dropped quite drastically in level and had a hard time. OB also changed some things that we had difficulty solving, but the intensity dropped in our game, and we had a hard time getting control.

"We ended up sitting too deep and became too passive, and we were constantly one step behind OB, who had the ball for long phases.

"So it was a game that had to be fought over, and we succeeded. I also think that we finished the last quarter well after (Thomas) Delaney and (Aurelio) Buta came on, and we switched to a back five.

"So it was a game where we both showed a very high level, but also there is still some way to go before we are where we want to be."

With the victory, FCK increased the gap to OB from one to four points. Next up, on Monday evening, the Lions host Vejle Boldklub, who lost 2-1 to Silkeborg this evening, in Parken Stadium.
